SUMMER SCHOOLS
BridgET focuses on implementing learning and teaching activities through summer schools for MSc students, efficiently combining the expertise of the partners. The schools are designed to provide students with hands-on experience with the variety of methods and procedures involved in the acquisition and processing of geospatial datasets in coastal and marine regions, including the use of Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS), acoustic remote sensing techniques and underwater robotic systems, along with advances in computer vision and digital image analysis using artificial intelligence (AI). Students are also introduced to the possibility of easily examining multiple viewing angles of the seabed and coastal surfaces in 3D using immersive and non-immersive Virtual Reality (VR) to bring them closer to a more direct observation of geomorphological data and geological phenomena in submarine environments.
