The National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) is the Italian Research Institution that realizes and coordinates research in the specific fields of Astronomy, Radio-Astronomy, Spatial researches and Cosmology, in collaboration with universities and other research Institutions.

The team involved in the project has been collaborating with the DISAT team for the last five years thanks to national and international projects, focusing on Virtual Reality (VR) tools implementation. Indeed, in the last four years the team started to develop VR applications both for Analysis of Big Data coming from Astrophysics facilities and, as knowledge transfer activities, VR applications for teaching and disseminating Earth sciences.
In the present project, the team is devoted to building VR scenarios from 3D reconstruction at multiple spatial scales and from different techniques, as well as to VR tools improvement for coastal and submarine survey and data collection.
